British Values

In 2013 the Department for Education said:

“Keeping our children safe and ensuring schools prepare them for life in modern Britain could not be more important.”

Schools are required to actively promote “British Values” through:

  • democracy
  • the rule of law
  • individual liberty
  • mutual respect
  • tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs

At Dussindale Primary School these values are taught through through planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.

Year 6 took part in UK Parliament Week, where a pupil was inspired to responsibly continue their learning at home, creating an amazing climate change poster.
