Dussindale Primary School Governors
The Governing Body of Dussindale Primary School is committed to the school providing the very best education for our children.
The Governors contribute to the leadership of a school and are involved in strategic planning and formulation of policies. Governing bodies also act as 'critical friends' to both support and challenge the school. At Dussindale we all work as a team for the benefit of the school.
The role of the Governing Body is to:
- set the strategic direction, policies and objectives
- review progress against the budget and objectives
- challenge and support senior staff
- play a part in appointing staff
Each committee meets at least once a term and the full Governing Body meet termly, and more frequently if required. The non confidential version of the full GoverningBody minutes are available for yourinspection so please ask at the office if you would like to read them.
Questions and issues regarding the school should be referred to the school office or Mrs Norgate, our Head Teacher in the first instance. Our complaints procedure is available from the school office. If you have a complaint regarding the Head Teacher, please refer it to the Chair of Governors, via the school office.
Terms of office are 4 years so we are always on the look out for new Governors. If you are interested in becoming a Governor please contact the Chair of Governors via the school office.
