Activities to try at home

I will aim to put links to useful websites in this section of the site throughout the year.

Some parents asked about spelling activities to try at home during the recent parent consultations.  Below is a link to a website we have used in class with lots of games to try related to this area.

Espresso contains a wealth of information useful for homework, SATS revision and reinforcement of concepts learnt in class.  It is well worth exploring - you will need your school e-mail details to access it at home.

Woodlands Junior School - a school site that contains links to a vast array of important and interesting areas of the curriculum.

BBC Bitesize - useful for revising key concepts for the Key Stage 2 SATS tests - it is never too early to start practicing!

First news is a great news based website for children.  It is, as we have said before, important that the children are reading a variety of text types and this may help achieve that at home.  There is also a sports section for the boys (and some of the girls) that may persuade them to read more...

I have been looking for easy to use times table sites and this one is worth a go - we could all be quicker at our recall of times table facts (myself included!) and as they are the key to so much in maths it is vital you all know them (or trying to learn them) off by heart:

Interactive Resources is a must-visit website.  Log-in details and passwords have been sent home in the past - if you have misplaced them then please just ask us for a replacement.
